I am proud to announce my candidacy for District 5 (Precincts 8 & 12) City Councilor. I have been driven to serve the community since choosing Framingham as a place to put down roots and start a family. Framingham is a community with tremendous potential, a city that sees strength in diversity, strives for excellence in education, and honors its history while embracing innovation.
When I moved here I stepped up to become involved in the community. I was elected to Town Meeting and Chair of Precinct 8. I also put my financial expertise to good use as a member of the Ways & Means Committee. With a growing family, it was demanding to serve on both town meeting and Ways and Means, but we made it work and it was a great decision. As a member of Ways and Means I worked with every department - analyzing and reviewing their budgets, operations and projects, and working committee decisions through the legislative process.
When we became a city, I knew my experience and desire to serve would be an asset to our new government. I ran for Framingham's first City Council. I had strong support but missed the opportunity by just 40 votes. This past December I stepped up again, applying for the Strategic Initiatives and Financial Oversight Committee (SIFOC) to work on a long-range strategic plan that will guide our city's municipal economy. I am proud to have been selected and also appointed Chair. My goal is to make the committee a collaborative, productive team doing the work that will benefit our city now and into the future.
As Framingham's next election came into view, I received an outpouring of encouragement and support from neighbors, friends, and residents asking me to run for District 5 City Councilor. I have decided to step up once again.
For over 12 years I have worked at an international asset management firm where I provide oversight for a multi-million dollar budget. I have also been an administrator of non-profits in education and the arts. I have a Master's Degree from Boston Conservatory and a B.A. from Wingate University. My personal leadership style is to find common ground between diverse viewpoints, explore options, and approach issues with mutual respect and common sense. I am committed to working hard and smart to deliver the best outcomes for Framingham.
Our three adopted children attend the Framingham public schools and are involved in many activities. The city's future is exciting and important to all of us. I want to contribute even more to that future by serving as City Councilor for District 5. I have the skills, character, experience, and judgment to make a positive impact on our City. I will continue reaching out, listening, and working to earn your trust, support and your vote in the Fall. I ask District 5 residents to please connect and get involved with my campaign. Let's do this together!
Thank you for your support! I look forward to representing the residents of District 5 and fighting for Framingham's Future.

Dan Lampl, District 5, was the chair of the Framingham Finance committee when I was the Chair of Precinct 8 on Town Meeting and served on The Ways and Means Committee. At my campaign kickoff Dan said this about why he supports me for District 5 City Councilor.
What a great kickoff! Wonderful turnout on a weekend afternoon at the Jaspers’ and no one went home hungry! I went home filled with gratitude for the tremendous support, and what an honor to have Minister John Boopalan start us off at the mic.
